We the undersigned residents demand that the city government cease doing business with Wells Fargo Bank, closing all city accounts with that bank and immediately removing our money to local banks that serve this community.
We are engaged in a boycott of Wells Fargo Bank for a number of reasons, including its involvement in the private prison industry and the fact that many District residents are being housed in facilities from which Wells Fargo profits. We also boycott Wells Fargo for its predatory lending practices, its racially discriminatory foreclosure practices, and its overall exploitation of the general public.
