On July 26th the Jobs Not Jails Coalition will be holding a community educational forum and speak-out on conditions in DC Jail, CTF, and Hope Village Half-way House. We are calling on all those concerned about the Human Rights of those who are currently being held, and have passed through these facilities, to attend this forum and learn more about the conditions facing Returning Citizens. We are also calling on all those who have experienced the conditions in these institutions to come and share your stories.
In addition to YOUR voices the panel will include: Walter Ridley, former Director of the Department of Corrections; Rev. Kelly Wilkins, Covenant Baptist Church; Willie “Rabbit” Williams, advocate for Returning Citizens; Doshen Martin El social justice advocate; Phillip Fornacci, D.C. Prisoners Project. Moderated by Debra Rowe, Returning Citizens United.
